"MCP Mayan Tzolk’in Lite” is the complimentary introductory version of the acclaimed “MCP Mayan Tzolk’in,” which serves as the official mobile application of the Mayan Calendar Portal and a companion tool to the renowned book "The Serpent and the Jaguar." This application adheres to the sacred traditional count of the K'iche Maya and stands apart from the contemporary "Dreamspell" or "13-moon" calendar, devised in the 20th century.
Designed to provide insight into the essence and significance of the Tzolk’in’s fundamental components—the 20 day signs and 13 numbers—this 'lite' version unveils the 260 distinct 'energies' generated by their diverse pairings within the Tzolk’in. It also includes information on the 13 deities linked with these numbers, a Gregorian-to-Mayan date conversion tool, and an elucidative discourse about the Tzolk’in calendar.
With this app, you can access the Tzolk’in regardless of your location without requiring any login details. Its functionality extends to offline usability, making it suitable for use in various settings, from Wi-Fi spots to airplane mode.
